We’ve all experienced the disappointing – even frustrating– experience of clearly expressing what we want for a gift, only to
receive something totally different. Listrak recently sponsored a study conducted by Harris Poll of more than two thousand
U.S. adults about their shopping plans for this holiday season (November 1 – December 31, 2015), and in addition, conducted
our own survey of retailers across a number of verticals on the same subject. The following report compares and contrasts what
shoppers are telling us they are expecting this holiday season with what retailers are prepared to deliver.
Our hope is that the insights are a gift to retailers, both confirming the elements of their strategies that are sound, and bringing
to light some areas where they can make adjustments to shine brighter.
