Email Marketing Pre-Flight Checklist
Testing emails prior to deployment is more than just an email marketing best practice, it is a necessity. Listrak makes it easy to send test copies of your email campaign to yourself before you even send it out to your review group – that way, you can fix any creative or rendering issues without involving a larger group of people.
Best of all, you can easily change the email address from the Author page without having to save your message and go into the settings to make changes or updates. All you have to do is type in your email address in the Test Address field and then click the “Send Test” button to send the message to your inbox. You can review the message in your email client then go back to the Listrak application to update the message.
You can also use this feature to test the message in different email clients – such as AOL, Yahoo, and Gmail. That way, you’ll know how the message renders in each client prior to deploying your message to your list. Simply type in the new address in the Test Address field on the author page and click “Send Test” and the message will be sent to the new address for review. It is a quick and easy step that can save your email campaigns from big problems if they don’t render properly.
