Listrak not only tracks the contacts that open your emails, but it also includes a separate metric showing the contacts that read your emails as well.  A message is considered read if it was opened at least five seconds, which is enough time for a recipient to scan the email, while excluding recipients that opened the email just to click on the unsubscribe link and those that didn’t have time to read much of the message.

Like the Open Report, the Read Report is part of Listrak’s Message Activity Report.  It shows the total number of contacts that held the message open five seconds or longer along with the percentage, and it is a good metric to use to measure the effectiveness of your email campaigns.  However, like the Open Report, you may click on the number to view the email addresses of each contact that read the email and the time the messages were read.  This information is automatically stored in the contacts’ campaign histories, and may be used to target each subscriber with relevant information.
